Sidhean Teo Delivers its 100th Vehicle

Sidhean Teo have produced its 100th Fire & Rescue Vehicle. In a fortuitous coincidence this 100th vehicle, a Class B, was delivered to Galway County Council Fire Service at its headquarters on Fr. Griffin rd. The Mayor of County Galway, Cllr Tom Mc Hugh, who officially accepted the keys of the new Class B fire engine said "This new fire engine, which will be deployed in Galway City, will improve the standard of our front line fleet. Furthermore, I'm delighted that this fire engine was manufactured locally by a Connemara company and congratulate Sidhean Teo on reaching its 100th milestone".
Rory Mc Carthy, Managing Director of Sidhean Teo said that reaching vehicle no. 100 was an excellent achievement for the company and he was delighted that Galway County Council were the recipients.
Galway County Council (Fire Service) have been very supportive of Sidhean Teo since they started in business and this is very much appreciated by the company. The on-going success of the Sidhean Teo is very much dependant on the Department of the Environment continuing to provide the necessary funding for Fire & Rescue vehicles to Galway County Council and all the other Local Authorities throughout the country. As Sidhean Teo look to the future they see the need to expand its product base and find a niche in the export market in the UK and mainland Europe.
Rory Mc Carthy also said he would also like to thank all the management and staff of Sidhean Teo for their dedication and loyalty to the company in the past 10 years, they are the main contributors to the success of the company through the quality of their work and look forward to many more years making fire engines and associated vehicles.
